Joseph Wartts was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri.  He attended Denison and Fisk Universities on a pre-med track before deciding to pursue a career in music, finally settling in business.  He is happily married with two children and has been a successful small business owner for over 25 years.

The author says of himself:  “I grew up in a family of riveting storytellers and always enjoyed writing as a teenager.  I also have two daughters, who just a few short years ago, always insisted that I read them bedtime stories, a nightly ritual that I easily warmed to, prompting me to sneak in a few tales of my own. As a businessman daily confronted with long hours and many challenges, I have recently returned to the creative endeavors of my youth as a way to relax and refresh. Cloudy with a Chance of Rain is my first book project.  It is my hope that you will find in the pages of Cloudy a story that is as entertaining and inspiring to read as I, as author, experienced in creating it.”
